The Minds Behind 40ozSports

Ryan Cooney - Ryan has been writing since he learned how to read in the late 80s. He is often referred to as an above average athelete with a below average attention span. Those who know him well compare his basketball ability to that of Raja Bell or Bruce Bowen (5 years ago). Ryan is a relatively proud graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, and yes he was in attendance for Rutgers only meaningful victory over Louisville. Matthew Ryter- Matt’s last name is pronounced “writer” and that’s about as close as he’ll ever get to becoming one.  His passion is to drink and talk sports.  He thinks he’s much better then he actually is on the court/field when in actuality he peaked in the 6th grade. Matt graduated from Providence College and follows Big East hoops religiously. If there is any possibility of making a “Top Ten” list for a column, count on him. Ryan Bednar- Mr. Bednar, affectionately deemed “The BED”, is the web creator and developer for 40ozsports. The “other” Ryan has been involved in multiple successful web design projects and continues to further his career as a web developer. His basketball game is a combination of Big Z’s shooting touch and the defensive proess of a post-retirement Shawn Bradley.
